13 September  – 16 September 2022, Madrid, Spain (Hybrid Event)

The Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, UNED, has as its mission the public service of higher education through the modality of distance education.

UNED features the most complete and advanced methodology for distance learning. Based on the use of active methodologies in which students are the protagonist of their own learning, this system is the underlying concept of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) for the training of professionals capable of taking up the challenges of the knowledge society. The methodology combines the use of print and audiovisual media with that of new technologies, especially virtual learning communities.

The UNED Library provides resources and information services to the university community and collaborates in the processes of creation and transmission of knowledge. The libraries of Associated Centers, with presence throughout the national territory of Spain and in centers abroad, maintain closed ties with the Headquarters of the Library, that serves the entire academic community of the UNED.

To manage, transform and disseminate quality information resources, as well as offering value-added services and technological utilities, all in a sustainable and socially responsible manner that contributes to create and transmit knowledge in order to achieve our University targets, as well as for the integral formation of each individual student.

To consolidate the position of the Library as a strategic collaborator in teaching and learning process, and in research and scientific communication, being an innovative leader within the university community and our professional area.
